TAILGATE TRAILER BUILD!!!!

Ok my fellow Griz Fan Tailgaters from Spot #2.
Bob and I have purchased the new tailgate trailer.
Here is a list of items we need to start and finish this project:

1) Money

2) A shop to work on this beast!

3) A crew of volunteers to d the work!

We need to start working on the trailer as soon as possible so the biggest need at this time is a shop so we can start tear down.

Post your comments or email me your thoughts.

Thank you,
Doug

Griz finish semester at 3.08

by Greg Sundberg

Curious about what Montana’s athletics academic advisors do for a living? One example: The Griz women’s golf team, which plays its championship season in the spring, had a department-best 3.41 grade point average this past semester thanks to the diligence of team advisor Jen Zellmer-Cuaresma.

“Jen has been the backbone for us,” said second-year UM golf coach Emily Milberger, whose team missed 13 days of class during the spring semester due to tournaments and travel. “She is always there to assist the players with any issue they come up against, so she is a large part of our academic success.”

It was a semester -- and full academic year -- of yeoman’s work for Zellmer-Cuaresma and former Griz soccer player Grace Harris, who is also an academic advisor. The other advisor position in their office has been unfilled for a year, which means Zellmer-Cuaresma and Harris have been doing the work of three.

Grade Report

It seems that every time I go to write this email each term, I feel like a broken record and have run out of superlatives to use to describe our student-athletes. Just another incredible semester in the classroom!

Goodman completes academic services staff

Lindsey Goodman, a former All-WAC track and field athlete at Idaho and most recently an academic support services intern for the UCLA football program, has been hired as an athletics academic advisor at Montana. Goodman will also be the department’s NCAA Life Skills program coordinator.

Goodman, who will be the academic advisor for the Griz football program, joins Jen Zellmer-Cuaresma and Grace Harris, a former Griz soccer player, in Montana’s academic services department.

Zellmer-Cuaresma is the academic advisor for the UM soccer, women’s basketball, golf and tennis teams and will add softball when the coach of that program is hired later this summer. Harris covers the volleyball, cross country, men’s basketball and track and field teams.

Goodman, a native of Boise, was a multiple-time All-WAC performer for the Vandal track and field team. She was three times first- or second-team All-WAC in the indoor pentathlon and two times All-WAC in the outdoor heptathlon, all while excelling academically.
