McGhee powers Bobcats over Weber

By the Associated Press | Posted: Saturday, November 5, 2011 11:55 pm
OGDEN, Utah - DeNarius McGhee threw for 310 yards and three touchdowns as Montana State continued its dominance over Weber State with a 44-24 victory at Stewart Stadium Saturday. The Bobcats have won seven straight in Ogden dating back to 1996 and 13 of the last 15 in the series.
McGhee was intercepted on his first two pass attempts of the game and No. 2 Montana State (7-0 Big Sky, 9-1) turned the ball over four times in the first half, but the Bobcats scored 24 unanswered points in a second half in which Weber State (3-3, 3-6) was held scoreless.
"I felt that we were fortunate to be only down by four at halftime as poorly as we played in the first half," said MSU coach Rob Ash. "We needed to take care of the ball and we needed to fit the run gaps better, and we took care of those issues."
The Bobcats have a bye next week and will be undefeated in conference play when they take on Montana in the annual Brawl of the Wild on Nov. 19.
Josh Booker rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns for Weber State. MSU held Weber State to just 329 total yards and forced three turnovers.
